Getting started

My name is Jaroslaw Pawlak and I am almost third year student at King’s College London, where I am doing fours years master degree course.

I have set up this blog mainly in the purpose of taking part in GDC Project Euler Challenge, but I will probably post here some additional information about my recent (and maybe even past if I find some time) projects and activities.

I have decided to take part in GDC Project Euler Challenge mainly for the self development purpose. After solving some of the problems in Project Euler I think that it will not improve my programming skills much but it is a good opportunity to learn a different language (I am going to try Python). More over I like brainteasers and for sure Project Euler will improve my optimization skills (or rather finding more efficient algorithms to the particular problem). I will be honest that the last reason was that I decided to have some holidays this year (no internships, no work) and I have too much free time and I am already a bit bored :).

Recently I have been writing down what I am doing in project Euler in google doc, available here.

About Jaroslaw Pawlak

I have done MSci in Computer Science at King’s College London and currently work as Software Engineer specialising in Java. I spend most of my time in front of computer improving my programming (and other) skills or just relaxing with a good game. I also train some sports but at the moment I am not a member of any club. I love cycling and volleyball, but I have also played a lot of football, tennis and trained martial arts.
